Competencies of a Peer Leader

The members of Peer Leaders are evaluated by both the advisors and their fellow peers in the organization to uphold the competencies of the Peer Leader Organization. These competencies are as follows: meaningful interpersonal relationship competency, collaboration competency, social responsibility, effective communication, intellectual growth, and multicultural competencies. Every two weeks, one organization member is nominated by their peers or advisors to be recognized for upholding and exceptionally demonstrating one of these organizational values. All Peer Leaders must exhibit these all of these competencies in order to remain a member. However, excellent demonstration is recognized and awarded within the Peer Leader organization.
